For the Finance team we are looking to hire a 
 

BUSINESS CONTROLLER / FP&A PROFESSIONAL
 
to temporarily (September 2025 through March 2026) support our Finance team and drive our budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes.

Our Finance team consists of a Senior Director, a Senior Manager, Senior Accounting Specialist and Accounts Payable Associate. Small yet highly professional and effective, our Finance team is key to Leyden Labs’ success.

This is what you are going to do:

FP&A

  • Updating forecasts, overseeing all ongoing commitments and aligning with the business on progress of projects.

  • Performing budget checks for each contract prior to signature to ensure committed amount is in line with budget and process accordingly.

  • Liaising with key business stakeholders, to create budget for 2026 and forecast 2027 (in close collaboration with Senior Finance Director and CFO).

  • Supporting with Cash Management including cash forecast, weekly cash dashboard, cash concentration and capital deployment.

  • Assisting in generating Supervisory Board slides with forecast updates, budget for approval and quarterly financials and any ad-hoc reporting requests.

Quarterly and Year-end close tasks

  • Actively participating in our closing process, including liaising with key business stakeholders to prepare prepaids and accrual reconciliations.

  • Supporting year-end statutory closing process and audit process, including performing closing checklist activities, reconciliations, pulling audit support, and liaising with our auditors.

  • Supporting the finance team with the quarterly finance reporting deck (in PowerBI).

  • At year-end, supporting submission of our WBSO subsidy 2026.

Job requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Finance.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business finance role with experience supporting the year-end audit process.

  • Advanced Excel knowledge required.

  • Fluent English is a must.

  • Experience with Exact Online is a plus.

  • Experience in the biotech industry is a plus

  • Experience in BI (PowerBI) considered a plus

  • Advanced proficiency in Powerpoint considered a plus

The team works a hybrid on-site schedule, and 1-2 days on-site in the office are required and on-site interviews are part of the recruitment process.
