As a BD intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the team’s daily operations and contributing to key initiatives. Your work will be instrumental in strengthening our company analyses, due diligence, and competitive intelligence. Join our Business Development & Commercial team, and together we will master mucosal immunity.
Your role and day-to-day responsibilities will consist of:
Providing support to the BD and Commercial team, including company analyses, due diligence, meeting notetaking, creating internal presentation materials, updating the CRM, and other business development activities (50% of your time)
A larger assignment focused on one or two ongoing projects (20% of your time)
Support the BD team with competitive intelligence analyses (10% of your time)
The remainder of time allows you to work on a thesis if needed (20% of your time)
Our current BD & Commercial team consists of three members, with whom you will be working directly while also being exposed to other team members during these activities. This interdisciplinary approach will be a great learning opportunity for you to familiarize yourself with the biotech industry and how a scale-up biotech operates.
In this dynamic role, you'll thrive by embracing constant change, maintaining resilience even in challenging situations. We're an ambitious scale-up with a straightforward culture, so you should be comfortable with adapting swiftly to evolving priorities, being hands-on and ambitious at the same time.
Furthermore, you should adopt a proactive approach by being self-sufficient yet also willing to seek help when necessary. You possess an entrepreneurial mindset, recognizing opportunities where others perceive risks. Additionally, you are a team player who recognizes the potential for remarkable results when individuals collaborate effectively.

We’re excited about you if you are/have:
A master’s student in (bio)medical sciences with an additional business background
Affinity with the biotech start-up/scale-up scene
Extracurricular activities showing your ambition and passion
Preferably experience working / studying abroad
Knowledge of the (respiratory) infectious disease space
Full-time availability for at least 5 months or more
The team works a hybrid on-site schedule, and 3-4 days on-site in the office are required. Ideally, our new team member starts as soon as possible, but we are willing to wait for the best candidate. For this internship we can only consider Master’s students that are currently residing in the Netherlands as an in person business case study will be part of the interview process.
What will you get from us?
